Clinical progress and Procedure

The first BPH patient was treated using an external ultrasound approach on February 17, 2026, as part of a First-in-Human clinical study at Rambam Medical Center. Led by Dr. Alexander Kravtsov, the procedure utilized NINA Medical’s extracorporeal perineal approach to deliver high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) entirely from outside the body. The focus was centered on evaluating initial safety, technical execution, and procedural workflow.

Recovery and Observations

Following a successful recovery and spontaneous voiding, the patient's urinary flow was as expected. This milestone marks the first step in gathering clinical data to assess how external ultrasound can be utilized for prostate tissue ablation
